South Africans, Ukrainians, Malays, Filippinos, and many dozens besides fought shoulder-to-shoulder with the militaries of the US, USSR, and UK. Yet, their stories are forgotten. Who were they? Why did they fight? Why should we care? That is your story to tell.

In the midst of this all, human stories unfold. These stories have been committed to memory; from the Fall of Constantinople to the Partition of India. Which moment will you capture? Human history is an endless canvass with uncountable stories waiting to be told. Which one catches your eye? What is your obsession, your thesis, the cornerstone of your degree? Tell it as you will! NOTE: ALL STORIES/ARTICLES MUST BE CENTRED ON EUROPE OR ASIA AND BE BETWEEN 1453 AND 1916!

We are now accepting pitches for all issues, as well as our online articles!

Online articles will be posted twice a month (2nd and 4th Friday) starting February 2027. Online articles do not have themes, and you may pitch an article on any topic. Currently, we are particularly interested in untold stories of the Cold War, but will read pitches on any topic. The guidelines for the magazine articles and online articles are different; make sure to read carefully the guideline most relevant to you before submitting.
